Website analytics
The portfolio records page visits, project opens, demo and video clicks, page paths, referral domains, and timestamps to understand which work interests visitors and improve the site. A random browser identifier estimates unique browsers; it is not your name or email and is not linked to email signups. It rotates after 90 days. Events are retained for up to 90 days; older events are removed when the site next processes an analytics or signup request.
Analytics run unless you disable them below or your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. The portfolio’s analytics database does not store raw IP addresses, full referring URLs, or conversations. The identifier and your analytics preference use browser local storage. Clearing browser storage removes both, so your preference may need to be set again.
Your analytics choice
You can disable this portfolio’s analytics in this browser. This clears the visitor identifier and stops future analytics requests. It does not erase previously collected events or control third-party video providers.
Email signups
If you choose to sign up, the site stores your email, selected interest, signup time, and—for new signups—the consent time and wording version. These are used only for the updates or contact you requested. Consent wording: “I agree to receive emails from Simal about my selected interest. I can opt out anytime.” Older signups may not have a separate consent record.
The signup form saves your details but does not automatically send a newsletter. Subscriber details are restricted to Simal’s authenticated owner dashboard. They are kept while your request or subscription remains active, unless you ask for removal. Contact information is not sold or shared with advertising networks. If an email delivery provider is introduced, this notice will be updated.
Spam protection and hosting
The site limits signup and analytics requests to reduce abuse. For this purpose, it briefly processes a network address supplied by the hosting provider and stores a hashed identifier scoped to a short rate-limit window. Raw network addresses are not saved in the application’s rate-limit table. Expired rate-limit records are removed on subsequent protected requests; rate-limit windows last up to 10 minutes. OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare provide the hosting and database infrastructure, process requests, and may keep operational or security logs under their own policies.
External projects and videos
Project links lead to external services with their own privacy policies. Embedded providers include Instagram/Meta, YouTube/Google, and Loom/Atlassian. They receive information such as your network address and browser details when an embed loads and may use cookies or other storage under their policies. Some embeds load when their project panel becomes visible; others load after you choose to watch. Lazy loading is not a consent control. Your portfolio analytics preference does not control these providers. Use external links instead if you prefer not to interact with an embedded player.
Your choices and requests
You can disable future portfolio analytics above, clear this site’s browser storage, request access to or deletion of your signup information, or withdraw your email consent by contacting Simal. Any marketing messages will include a way to opt out. Privacy rights depend on your location. This notice covers the portfolio itself, not separately hosted apps or third-party websites linked from it.
